Personnel - Ellie Hegwood

Hi all! My name is Ellie Hegwood and I am beyond grateful to be serving as the Personnel Chair for the Pi Chapter of Chi Omega this year.

I am from Alpharetta, GA and a junior majoring in Forestry with a concentration in Restoration and Conservation Science. I am currently making plans to attend graduate school following my graduation in May of 2025 and hope to stay at the University of Tennessee in the Plant Sciences department. I love to spend my time outside in any way, whether it’s walking or running, or with plants! I also find so much joy in cooking and trying new recipes.

Something I love deeply about my position is an ability to uplift our members in a personal way that allows them to have trust in this chapter and be supported to the best of our ability. It is so rewarding to see our members thrive in this organization and to comfort and work with them when they need it most. As Personnel Chair, I feel honored to get to have a hand in a lot of different areas of the chapter and work alongside many of our other executive members in almost everything! This year, I am looking forward to providing not only deeper support for our members but our executive board as well. Additionally, we as a board overall have a goal to establish more transparency with our members. Ultimately I will always be so grateful to Chi Omega for the role models it has given me and the high standards that it has helped me hold myself to. I am so grateful for my time spent in this chapter and am eager to give back in leadership through the next year!
